With a family half from Livorno, the bond with the coast has always been strong. This dual soul, between Florentine refinement and Livorno freedom, is reflected in the spirit of ChantyVintage.
The name of the shop may be misleading due to its apparently feminine sound, but in reality it is a tribute to "sea shanties", the rhythmic choruses sung by sailors to synchronize the work on ships at the time of sailing ships in the 1800s.
Over time, the term “shanty” has taken on different meanings, including shacks on the port or simple constructions linked to life at sea.
The choice of this name is not accidental: it represents the meeting between tradition, travel and authenticity, values that are found in every piece selected by ChantyVintage.
